Janet became a teenage single mother at age seventeen. During her pregnancy, she spent several nights sleeping on a train.
Today, she is a successful business owner, healthcare executive, Mom of three and proud Grandma of two Grandsons.
Janet is a newlywed Pastor's wife.
Among all of her accomplishments, Guard Your Heart Outreach to Single Mothers is Janet's most passionate endeavor.
The Journey
I have dedicated myself to helping people to see and realize the potential inside of themselves.
As a single mother, a writer, a speaker, a coach, an entrepreneur and a christian minister, I have experienced all facets of what it means to be a self starting woman.
A world of perspective: I have worked with women of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds. My personal experiences have enabled me to communicate effectively with a diverse audience on a variety of subjects. I was born and raised in London, England to Jamaican parents before immigrating to California over 30 years ago.
Having raised my children to adulthood, predominantly as a single mother of three, I was blessed to become a newlywed in 2019.
I now work diligently trying to balance a robust professional & mission oriented journey including working alongside my husband Patrick Weaver, Pastor & Business Owner.

A safe, loving environment where Single Mothers can learn life & parenting skills while they obtain training and gain employment and become financially stable.
Our goal is to assist Single Mothers to develop skills and access opportunities that will move them toward economic stability, enhancing the dignity and quality of life of the families.

Guard Your Heart Outreach has a goal is to open a home (4/5 bedroom house) where can provide temporary housing (up to a year) for young single Moms and their children and for teen / young women who are pregnant and need a place to stay.
We are actively fundraising to accomplish this goal. Your contributions are very much appreciated and will have multi-generational impact.

Our collaboration with JEG & Associates has given many Single Mothers the opportunity to develop a skill set and earn a livable income which has been life transforming for them.

The United States of America has the largest population of children under 18 who live with a single parent and no other adult (23%).
According to U. S. Census Data there are approximately 15.76 million children living with a single Mother.
